We sent out an email at 8 p.m. last night telling students about today & # 39 s. Sign up - and we had over 800 people that were here this morning.. They basically said this isn & # 39 t mandatory, but we know that everyone would love to sign up for New York Fashion Week.. My major is Fashion Design.. I go line to the line so early because I & # 39 ll. Do anything in order to make this dream a reality. FBM major on a one-year accelerated associate & # 39 s degree.? I & # 39 m from Basking Ridge, New Jersey and I & # 39 m, a fashion business management major.. I & # 39 m. An AMC major and I & # 39 m from the Chicago area., So you guys are roommates Yea.. Did you know each other before We met on Instagram.? I think it means opportunity a chance to learn more about like the business. Fashion week. https://diamondpokemon.com/how-to-reset-pokemon-sun/ know what I & # 39 ve been dreaming about, since I was a child. Make sure that you have your phone out getting your schedules on your phone, because these fabulous people here on stage are going to ask you to see it before they sign. You up for anything. The students come in and we tell them what the dresser is.. We tell them what the usher is. A greeter back of the house front of the house, because professionalism is key.. Tardiness is totally unacceptable.. Make sure you always look busy., Do not sit around and go on your cell phone. Dress code, perfect, perfect, no open-toed shoes. Lose the white shirt and he would just have to lose the hat.. You have to be positive., You have to be timely and please no gum chewing.. I think we & # 39 re, ready to start signing up.. You cannot miss class to do anything for Fashion Week.. Why do you want to volunteer at Fashion Week? Because I know experience is everything and of course, network. Network., That & # 39 s very important.. We had 122 students here, helping Milan show. FIT students from all over the world are here.. I & # 39 m from Shawnee Kansas. From China.. I & # 39 m from Dallas Texas. Ohio. Las Vegas Nevada. Queens New York.. I & # 39 m from Washington, D.C. Toronto. India.. We just basically have to match the ticket to the bench. That & # 39 s. It. Make sure have a smile on your face. Make sure there & # 39 s no drinks in the front row. I started as a volunteer.. I started right where you guys are sitting at right now.. The models names are on here on the bag.. My first time running a backstage area was a bit of a disaster.. I didn & # 39 t know where the models were supposed to go.. I didn & # 39 t know when the rehearsal was. I didn & # 39 t know who to talk to., And I think learning to keep calm in the storm is the number one thing they can learn here. Today.. They can come back here and prepare themselves for when they & # 39 re running their own backstage area. You don & # 39 t, have to ask us permission to put a pair of pants on someone.. I tried to ask questions, but they & # 39 re trying to do their job, so you have to learn it yourself, sometimes.. Every time I was there. I would make it a point to go up to him and say hello, and once he saw that I was super involved and wanted to be more than just a volunteer. He the offered me position. The thing that I love about FIT grads is they require the students to learn how to sew the garments and how to create and manufacture things which is so important in this industry.? Can you run through the collection with David to see where the pieces ...? I & # 39 m here at Bibhu Mohapatra & # 39 s fashion show. I & # 39 m. Organizing backstage. I didn & # 39 t know that you had to slash the shoes underneath so that the models don & # 39 t slip. Honestly. For me, everything is kind of surprising right now, because I & # 39 ve, never done this before.. I had a huge dream of coming to FIT and then, when I got in and moved to New York, I had the best support.. I was sleeping like three hours every day for a year, but if it gave me a lot of courage, lot of confidence. Dressing a model is nerve-wracking because every like single detail, matters., It all needs to come out the way that he imagined it. This season. The story that I really wanted to tell is about how we are just all one.: Just dressing them up was really exciting.. We dressed her and I put the corset on her.. It may seem hard, but New York is the place.. It & # 39 s. Really. Definitely glamorous, but to get to this stage. Glamour is about to begin, but before that a lot of grunt work, I & # 39 ll, be there one day and you & # 39 ll, be interviewing for the people working for my show.
